Executive Director, International Sustainable Forestry Coalition
Ross Hampton has been Executive Director of the International Sustainable Forestry Coalition (ISFC) since it was founded in September 2023.Â

The ISFC consists of eleven leading global forestry companies managing some 10 million hectares of forests in 28 countries including Australia, New Zealand, USA, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ireland, UK, Finland, Sweden, France, Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Lithuania.Â

A journalist by training, Mr. Hampton has been working in the world of public policy for more than two decades. Â
Â
He has specialized in understanding and influencing the complex social, political and economic dynamics which determine outcomes in areas such as sustainable resource management, environmental protection, the circular economy, nature-based solutions, climate change and sustainable forest management.Â
Â
Mr. Hampton has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy (Environmental Policy) from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Arts in English from Curtin University of Technology and is a Graduate of the Australian    Institute of Company Directors (AICD).Â
