Walmir Soller
VP and CEO for Europe & Asia Regions, Braskem
Walmir Soller is Braskem’s Vice President for Europe and Asia, CEO for Braskem Netherlands BV, member of the Board of Braskem Idesa and Steering Board Member of Plastics Europe, with over 30 years’ experience in the Chemical/Petrochemical Business internationally. Beyond the regional business responsibilities for Feedstock, Chartering, Chemicals and Plastics in Europe and Asia, Walmir Soller is responsible globally for Braskem’s Global Bio Polymer business, producing polymers out of Ethanol from Sugar Cane, and leads Braskem’s Global Workstream to Combat Climate Change. Recently he has led an acquisition of a recycling company in The Netherlands to convert low quality PCR into final products – pallets and road plates – as part of the Plastic Waste reduction initiatives and is currently working on a partnership in Thailand to expand the Biopolymer’s business overseas.
