Jiwoo Choi
Chief of Strategic Initiatives, Acumen
Jiwoo Choi is Acumen’s Chief of Strategic Initiatives Group. Jiwoo has 20+ years of experience in investment and risk management across a whole suit of structured finance, project finance and corporate finance transactions. Her core area of expertise is climate finance in emerging markets. Prior to joining Acumen, she served as Chief Sustainability Officer, EMEA at Shinhan Bank to lead its net zero banking strategy and investments and as Chief Risk Officer of Dubai Green Fund, Dubai’s new sovereign fund dedicated for green investments. And Jiwoo also led Private Sector Facility at Green Climate Fund as Deputy Director/Director a.i. Before her dedication to climate finance, she worked in various positions in Standard & Poor’s for over 10 years and headed the global asset management unit of Hanwha Life (formerly Korea Life). Jiwoo holds an MBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University.
