About World Climate Summit 2024  - New York 

World Climate Summit 2024 - New York Edition was a half-day summit taking place on 25 September during the UN General Assembly and Climate Week NYC. The New York edition continued our legacy from the World Energy Transition Summit 2023. 

The World Climate Summit – New York Edition focused on several key objectives to drive global climate action and support attaining the 2030 transition goals.

Explored Driving Forces:
Dived into the emerging innovations and technologies, financial strategies, and regulatory policies that are essential for achieving the 2030 transition goals.

Defined Roadmaps and Action Plans:
Developed detailed roadmaps and concrete action plans for businesses and governments to ensure a rapid and just transition, aligning with net-zero targets by 2050 or earlier.

Showcased Success Stories:
Heard successful case studies from the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and understand how these positive impacts across various sectors contribute to overall climate action goals.

Foster Global Collaboration:
Created a platform for global climate leaders to share insights, strategies, and best practices, building momentum for impactful action at COP29 in Baku.

​

By addressing these objectives, the Summit aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts and accelerate the transition towards a sustainable, low-carbon future.
