As Head of Cross-Cutting Programmes at Sustainable Energy for All, Mikael leads efforts to accelerate progress toward SDG7 and the Paris Agreement by forging partnerships with the governments, development partners and industry leaders to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

As a key advisor to the COP28 UAE Energy Transition Team, Mikael played a leading role in driving transformative commitments on energy transitions, cooling, and clean cooking, shaping high-level climate strategies critical to achieving global climate targets.

With extensive experience at European Union Delegations across Africa and the Caribbean, Mikael has managed energy, trade, and regional integration programmes, gaining expertise in international relations, program management, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
