Jens Nielsen is the founder and CEO of World Climate Foundation, one of the strongest global partnership networks on climate and biodiversity in the fields of business, finance, government and international organisations.

Under Jens’ leadership, the World Climate Foundation is at the forefront of creating cross-sector coalitions, driving impactful change before 2030.

He serves as a Director of the Climate Investment Coalition, a public-private partnership initiative recognised for facilitating multi-billion-dollar climate investments from international institutional investors, co-founded in partnership with the Danish government. The Foundation also leads pioneering impact platforms in climate, biodiversity and health.

Through his work at the Foundation, Jens has collaborated with countries and cities worldwide, from Denmark to Dubai. The Foundation has forged enduring partnerships with globally renowned organisations such as Philips and Siemens, actively constructing comprehensive cross-sectoral strategies to navigate their green transition effectively.

In addition, Jens serves as a board member to organisations such as the Climate Planet Foundation, Art2030 and Greenlab Innovation Foundation.

A political economist by training, Jens has accumulated extensive international experience, having offered strategic guidance to major corporations across more than 20 countries. He has held C-level executive roles in both the public and private sectors in Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Australia, Japan and the UK.

Jens notably served as CEO of Cision, a leading international communications company, and spearheaded consulting initiatives at PwC. His background in regulatory economics has established his reputation as a recognised expert in regulatory markets for energy, natural resources, transportation and communications.

Jens shares his expertise on critical topics, such as the role of finance, innovation, and technology in mitigating climate change, at major global events, including the TED Countdown Summit and WEB Summit. He also delivers keynote speeches and workshops at partner events around the world.
