Erich Cripton is Director, Business Relations. Based in the

New York office since 2023, he is responsible for CDPQ’s U.S.

federal, state and municipal government relations as well as

managing U.S. regulatory affairs.

Prior to joining CDPQ in 2022, Mr. Cripton served as a diplomat

for the Government of Canada from 2010 to 2022, serving twice

at Canada’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New

York, with his final posting in Juba, South Sudan. Previously,

Mr. Cripton worked in both the private and philanthropic sectors

in South Korea, Indonesia, Germany, New York, Thailand, and

Central African Republic.

Erich holds a Master’s Degree from Columbia University’s School

of International and Public Affairs. He also holds a Bachelor of

Arts degree from Concordia University. He speaks English,

French and German.
