Elena Tracy is Senior Advisor on Sustainable Development, WWF Global Arctic Programme. Her work focuses on protecting Arctic ecosystems, species and coastal communities from the impact of marine shipping, by prioritizing the implementation of ecosystem-based management, promotion of sustainable blue economy, and the urgent need to decarbonize all sectors of the economy including shipping. 

Elena holds a Doctoral degree in International Relations at the University of British Columbia, her doctoral thesis was on nature protection policies in Canada, Norway and New Zealand. Her primary location is Oslo, Norway. She also spends a considerable amount of time in Ontario, Canada.
