Opening Plenary Session:

2030 on the Horizon - Catalysing Climate Action in the Next Five Years

COP29 in Baku served as an essential bridge linking the achievements from the Global Stocktake at COP28 in the UAE to the goals set for COP30 in Brazil, fast-tracking the move away from fossil fuels to accelerating climate finance and protecting biodiversity. The opening session featured key climate leaders to highlight where we are and explain how to facilitate this transition. What strategies can businesses adopt to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels towards renewable energy sources, and how can these strategies be aligned with global climate goals? What are the immediate actions required to fulfill the commitments of the Paris Agreement within the next six years?
