Hanan Hanzaz holds an engineering degree from the Mohamedia Engineering Scool (École Mohammadia d’ingénieurs) in Rabat, Morocco. She had engaged in a professional practice in the field of sustainable development, resource efficiency, and cleaner production. In 2004, she joined the Moroccan Cleaner Production Centre (CMPP) where she held numerous positions and managed successfully the Centre from 2009 to 2013.
She has been involved in several projects, on national and regional levels, funded by international organizations and donors such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), the Swiss Secretariat of Economic affairs (Seco), the European Commission (CE) and many other local agencies namely the Ministry of Industry and the Department of Environment.
In 2014 she joined MANAGEM Group, a Moroccan mining and hydrometallurgical group that operates both domestically and internationally and specializes in the transformation of basic metals, precious metals, cobalts and derived products, as the Director of the MANAGEM Foundation and later as a Director of the Energy and Environmental Affairs of the group.
In October 2015, she was nominated vice-chairman of the Energy, Climate and Green Economy committee of the General Confederation of Moroccan enterprises (CGEM) and a member of the Enterprise National Council. since 2016, she is the Founder and CEO of Green Growth Consulting, a consultancy firm helping companies and organization to ensure long term environmental, social and economic sustainability through integration of sustainability considerations in policy, plan and project development. Hanan Hanzaz is also an active member of several associations and regional networks.
